Questions from contributors.
Do I have to pay anything to contribute?
No. Contributing is completely free — only the person organizing the book pays for it.
Do I need to create an account?
No. Your link is all you need.
Who can add a memory?
Anyone with a link from the person organizing the book. If you're under 13, please ask a parent or another adult to add your memory for you.
Will the person the book is for see what I wrote before it's finished?
No. The book stays private until it's finished and given as a gift.
What if I don't have a good photo, or don't want to write much?
That's completely fine. A few honest words matter more than a polished photo. Plenty of memories in every book have no photo at all.
Can I include a voice or video message?
Yes — it's entirely optional, and you can either record it right there or upload one you already have, like an old voicemail.
I made a mistake, or want to change something after I already submitted. What do I do?
Open your personal link again and tap “Change my memory.” You can change it until the book goes to design review. After that, reach out to whoever invited you — they can help coordinate a change with us.
Who can hear or watch my recording?
Anyone who has the book can scan its code to play your recording, and they can save a copy. It isn't posted publicly or searchable online, and only people holding the book or its link can reach it.
Is my contact information kept private?
Yes. If you share an email or phone number, it's used only to remind you if you haven't finished yet, and — if you choose — to send you a link to the finished book. It's never used for marketing or shared beyond that.
